A League Of Our Own: The Story Of The NHL’s First All-Canadian Division
I’ll be honest. The idea was that with the Leafs being the strongest of the Canadian teams during a season shrouded by COVID, this would be Toronto’s best chance to get back to the Cup final. Instead, the Leafs lost in the first round. Dang. Still, the book traces the seasons of all seven Canadian teams that year, including Montreal’s extraordinary run through the playoffs. There’s also lots of history about each Canadian team. Other than the Leafs undermining what might have been a really good story for their fans in the world’s biggest hockey market, this book chronicles the only time in the NHL’s history that Canaidan teams have competed solely against other Canaidan teams for an entire season.
