Published in 2006, this book was the product of a meeting between Martin Brodeur and myself set up by our mutual friend, Brad Robins. Brad thought Martin could make an interesting subject for a book even though he was, at that time, still regarded as one of the best goaltenders in the world. Most athletes wait until after their careers to tell their stories. It turned out that Martin was more than willing to be candid about his life and his career. In conversations after games, practices, during the Stanley Cup playoffs and at the world championships in Austria, it turned out to be a tale worth telling.
